Description

The position of the blade follows the direction oft he current in the motor winding. Current in one direction will set the shutter to the open poisition and current in the other direction will set the shutter tot he closed position. Alternating the current will cause the blades to open and close the chopper at a frequency range from DC to 12 Hz. This methot of chopping is jitter free. High relieability and long life is achieved by eliminating the use of a brush type motoror gear heads.

When used with our EOP-DCH-50 driver and an external clock input, a frequency stability of 0.005% is possible. This ultra high stability cannot be achieved with a rotating chopper. The chopping operation is locked in phase to the clock input; no additional circuitry is needed for phase locking. The driver also enables the user to set the shutter in either a closed or an open position when it is not running.

Model EOP-CH-50-B is boxed with a window for laser light and can be mounted horizontally and vertically.
