Description

Delta Optical Thin Film´s continuously tunable filters offer the highest level of quality by introducing a new, powerful filter technology.

The portfolio includes Linear Variable Long Wave Pass Filter (LVLWP), Linear Variable Short Wave Pass Filter (LVSWP) and Linear Variable Dichroic Filter.

Each of the filters can be used separately. The combination of LVLWP and LVSWP enables the design of bandpass filters that can be continuously tuned at center wavelengths from 320 nm to 850 nm with the added benefit of an tuneable bandwidth.
As LVF monochromator the filters are used in fluorescence microplate readers.

The filters are characterized by a high transmission and edge steepness. In addition, they also offer blocking better than OD3 over the entire reflection range. It is possible to increase the blocking beyond OD5 by connecting another filter in series.

The filters are made of quartz substrates to ensure minimum autofluorescence and a high damage threshold. Ultra Hard Coatings (UHC) are used as coatings.

The main field of application of the continuously tunable filters is spectroscopy.
